Instructor Bio: Christianna Ferguson takes the simplest of materials - wool, soap, and water - and transforms them into extraordinary textiles that are deliciously bold, intricate, layered, and entirely unique. Through the physical act of making felt her curiosity is continually sparked to explore the medium in new ways. Her work ranges from wearable and costume pieces to sculptural works and wall hangings. Her work often incorporates silk and three dimensional elements that enhance her surface designs. Christianna’s work was featured in ‘The Uppercase Compendium of Craft’ 2015 and in ‘Worldwide Colours of Felt’ TextileLink, 2016. Christianna lives, and practices and teaches in her studio in Lakefield, Ontario.
