Supporting Front Line Health Care Workers

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Madderhouse helped to organize a community sewing effort in support of the Peterborough Regional Health Centre’s 1000 Mask Challenge, as well as for frontline heathcare providers at large and other community members in need.

With coordinating support from the New Canadians Centre and Repair Cafe Peterborough, and the determination of a volunteer crew of more than 130 individuals, we collected and donated 3000 lovingly hand sewn items including masks, medical caps, headbands, and isolation gowns.

Our campaign has now concluded. Please consider following our Facebook and Instagram newsfeeds to stay in the loop about past and future efforts, and to help us promote what we do.

And, thank you to absolutely everyone who is contributing their time and resources during this pandemic. You are simply invaluable!
