Instructor Bios:
Krista English is a traditional fibre artist creating functional and wearable art. As a young girl Krista spent endless hours watching and learning “domestic handicrafts” from her grandmothers and older women. She believes there is an important history of decoration and domestic handicrafts being lost due to the association as “women’s work”, and therefore not considered “high” or fine art. She would like to teach people interested in learning so these beautiful art forms are not lost. Krista started her career in Public Heath before starting ReFrame and REELkids Film Festivals. She believes that together we can create rich and vibrant community.

Leslie Menagh is a lifelong craftsperson and wrangler of cloth, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from NSCAD University. She is a workshop facilitator and community-builder with a deep enthusiasm for skill-sharing and creativity.
